2 Titan Xs are insane overkill man, just don't. Grab one Titan X or two 980s.

Also, I would grab some standard cas-9 1600Mhz RAM as it will be totally fine..

EDIT:

With one Titan X or two 980s you will be getting about 80-90 fps on all maxed out 1440p, reason is, why would you even need more than that?

Mobo: Gigabyte 970A-DS3P CPU: AMD FX 8350 RAM: Kingston HyperX Fury DDR3 8gb (2x4gb@1600Mhz) GPU: Gigabyte R9 280x (factory oc) PSU: Thermaltake SmartSE 730w Case: Corsair 200R

Well, any sort of CAS latency will do. My CAS 10 RAM certainly ain't lacking.

I agree, but if he CAN go for some CAS 9 it would be of benefit.

A 980 is a 1440p card. Two 980s are for 4K or very high FPS 1440p.

You really don't know how hard it is to push 144 fps.

You're right but people looking at 1440p 144hz are more into games like CS:GO and so on so I assumed it was CSgo and the likings.

... I won't ask how you come to that conclusion.

OP, if the money permits and money/performance is really not a concern, then the sky is the limit.
