Asus Z87I Pro and G3258 Compatibility

Just as the title says, I found a nice local deal for both of them and I'm curious if they are as the title says, compatible. If so, how difficult will it be to update the BIOS for the mobo.

Yes they are compatible, and updating the bios is simple.

Well, if the motherboard isn't on a new BIOS, then you need a Haswell or earlier LGA 1150 chip first in order to actually boot up, but chances are you'll be given one with a newer BIOS that'll support Haswell Refresh.

Yeah, but I'm pretty sure most retailers are selling the motherboard with an updated bios, Newegg even advertises the board as being Pentium G3258 compatible.
