So are older versions of 3dmark better?

 

I mean newer graphics drivers usually mess up some benchmarks scores, but majority of the time in games they perform just as well or better (depending what that new driver changed).

When I first got my PC I scored 10203 and now I am getting 9895.

 

I have had my PC for a few months and have downloaded maybe 30 games on steam, have taken up some HD space with videos and pictures, have installed the regular anti virus programs and a music recording DAW.

 

I am not sure what types of things would cause any drops in the score. I thought maybe startup processes or just from downloading the things I have on my PC. Wasn't sure if this was normal. What could cause this?

8 gb Gskill Sniper

WD Black 1TB

850 Pro 256gb

check the GPU clock and temps

Budget? Uses? Currency? Location? Operating System? Peripherals? Monitor? Use PCPartPicker wherever possible.

I think a slight fluctuation in the score is okay. As long as it doesnt flucutate too much (Drops by half etc) it should be normal.

Check which score is actually dropping, GPU score or Physics?

Ok will do, what would it mean if it was the GPU score dropping? Or vice versa?
