MSI Mobo quality?

Okay MSI makes alot of cool looking Mobos but are they any good and reliable?

I haven't heard of any horror stories relating to MSI mobos all though I could be wrong.

I wouldn't hesitate using boards from the likes of Asus, MSI, Gigabyte or Asrock.

 

My current board is MSI. I also have a Z77 board from MSI-- both of which work fantastic. QA can't prevent every lemon from slipping through the cracks.

Hmm yes there is always duds rolling out of the factory. =)

My dream board is a Z77 Mpower and they QA is insane.

A mb in general is the last part in a system that will get damaged or that will cause damage to other components(if it's even going to happen anyway).I trust all mb brands and i have no hard time choosing what to buy.

I have three PCs in the house using MSI boards, all of them rock. Haven't had a single problem with them yet, their quality is great!

I had an MSI gd-45 z77 board fail after two years. It started infinitely boot looping. It probably had a failed bios chip. However, the RMA process was great!

It should be noted that this particular board was among one of was the most rma'd boards. The RMA'd replacement works great though.

I have a MSI laptop that is making noises but its not failing I think. =)

You know that reminds me.. I did have my graphics card pop a capacitor or something. Also, my new Sabertooth board enabled it's surge auto protection feature when it was plugged in that psu. Maybe my faulty PSU caused the board to die prematurely. However I used it the night before without problems. Dunno, too many variables. I would trust any motherboard from the big three Gigabyte, ASUS, MSI. Hell, I'd trust an Asrock and EVGA board too. I think they use japanese nichion caps too.

i had an MSI gaming 5 and the Audio died 1 month after buying it other than that it was a good mobo but im going to stick to asus for now on

I've got MSI boards for both AMD and Intel, and both have worked flawlessly.
