First Build Questions

So i am planning on building this, (http://pcpartpicker.com/p/BQFdP6) for my first build and have a few questions,

i am in need of a GPU, SSD, and PSU and i am hoping that the LTT community will have some suggestions.

-For the GPU I want a GTX 970 that is able to fit with my h100i mounted in the front of my Air 240

-For the SSD I want it to have at least a size of 256GB for OS and games

-For the PSU I want at least 750W, fully modular and 80+ Gold rated.

I have a max budget of $1,500 USD but lower is better

CPU: i5 6600k OCed to 4.5Ghz @ 1.35v, GPU: R9 390 Nitro, Motherboard: Asus z170-A, CPU Cooler: H100i GTX, RAM: HyperX 2x8 16gb DDR4, PSU: Seasonic x650, Storage: 850 EVO 500gb, WD 1tb blue, Case: H440 White/Black

I believe the EVGA version is smaller then the Gigabyte G1, you should be fine with that. If I would SLI 2x970 with that budget of 1500 you have. Add an EVGA 750G2 or A Corsair RM750M as a PSU. For SSD's get a couple of 120gb Samsung 850 EVO and make a RAID0 out of them. I think the SLI 970s are awesome, but if you cant fit them into your budget, get a single 970 and a lower wattage power supply. Like a Corsair RM650 or something similar of lower than 700 watts. It is not going to be needed. If you can SLI 2 970s its awesome, at least try a 980. Maybe you can fit it into your budget..

What about the GPU?

You will want an evga 970. Most other cards are actually too wide, so they would hit the side panel. The windforce card isn't too wide, but it is too long so it also won't work. That leaves the evga 970s and reference/blower coolers. The air 240 is pretty small, but it still has pretty good airflow, so the evga acx cooled cards are the best for it.

What EVGA 970 would you recommend?

I would get the acx 2.0 ftw if you don't care about a backplate. on the other hand, if you do want a backplate then the acx 2.0+ ftw+ is the one for you. I think the ftw+ also has a few tiny extra features, but I don't remember.

Thanks the back plate would be worth the extra $20 for a clean look
