Corsair h100i gtx radiator salvageable?

is the radiator from the corsair h100i gtx savageable?? can I unscrew the fitting for it's tubing and use the radiator in a custom water cooling loop??

can I just screw in compression fitting and will everything work???

Not unless you buy a G1/4 thread tap and a drill, a dremel and perhaps a grinder as well.

 

 

You'll have to cut off the existing fitting things, and then use the a drill to make a bigger hole, then use the thread-tap to put G1/4 threads into the rad.  Then you'll also need to make sure it's all nice and straight before you do that, so that the fittings seal properly etc.

 

You're better off selling it if you decide to go custom loop, or keeping it and using it for your CPU and making a custom loop for your GPU.

What is the thread type in the H100i?

 

 

There are no threads, it has like attached fitting things that look like they'd need to be completely removed to make room for G1/4 threads.

you dont want  use a AIO rad anyway since most are aluminum inside  and its a no no unless you just going to extend its tubing
