WiFi speeds

So I got my new internet (sky fiber) and the signal is good but speeds are poor downstairs in the same room as router I get avrage 4.5 mb/s WiFi and lan but upstairs with full signal I only get a peek of 1.8 mb/s on steam help

My speakers dont even fit on or under my desk...PA's FTW

Its mostly steam servers doing it if anything. Steam downloading is not a great benchmark for internet lol. I recommend Speedtest.net

P.s I'm using a 600 megabit USB WiFi adapter

Its mostly steam servers doing it if anything. Steam downloading is not a great benchmark for internet lol. I recommend Speedtest.net

I was only using it because it shows the speeds but its the same accros the board

I know, But speedtest unlocks bottlenecks like steam servers. still recommend Speedtest.net

so i just ran a speed test and upstairs i got 9 down 10 up and downstairs i got 32 down and 10 up 

My speakers dont even fit on or under my desk...PA's FTW

I recommend doing what Linus did in this video:

It always helps to have multiple access points around the house to cut out the internet reachability issues.

i just ran a speed test on my phone in the same room and i am getting the same speeds as i was downstairs so i am thinking its my usb wifi adapter
