My first PC that I'm going to build (Advise Needed)

Hello everyone, I need advise for this PC that I'm going to build for gaming and school work. Also, I didn't add the OS or anti-virus software because I can get it at my university for cheap. As for the monitor, I'm going to use my TV and my budget is a little over 1000 dollars, so like 1100 dollars. If there is anything else that i need please feel free to tell me and any recommendations is greatly appreciated, thank you.

PS: I plan to buy the parts during Black Friday and Cyber Monday

Good build. Just ditch the CD drive. You can probably get a better cooler but the hyper 212 is fine.

Great build only things I would do would be.

-get a better and cheaper motherboard

-put the money into a G1 Gaming 970.

-get a WD blue they are more reliable.

-ditch the optical drive unless you watch dvds on your pc.

-dual channel ram

Your also going to need a OS, so consider that too.

you can probably fit an Intel Core i7-4790K in that build without going overbudget. what are you planning on doing with your pc? if its just gaming, then the i5 is fine (u could probably even step down to an i3) but if you plan on doing youtubing and streaming to twitch, then an i7-4790k is a much better option....

i heard the G1 gaming 970 was only really good if you overclocked it, no?

Yes but its still a good card without being OCed, but you can do it pretty easily and if he wants help the guys on the form who own them could give him a hand to push it beyond what other 970's can do.

Also the last parts list glitched a little heres what is was supposed to be.

If you plan to buy the parts on Black Friday/Cyber Monday, then you will want to be open to change on your build, since a lot of new products could come out before then (6 Months). New, better parts could be released, or the parts that you have could become cheaper, and then you could afford something better :)

IMO, it seems a little early to be planning when you're six months off from buying the parts.

You may want to wait for asking since skylake CPUs will be out by then and you may want ddr4 ram as well as gpu prices may be a lot less expensive

<p>Wish I could have this already!! : http://pcpartpicker.com/p/qTLRjX
