1440p G-sync Gaming?

King_Gamma

What would be a good GPU solution for the Acer XB270HU monitor?

R9 290 Crossfire is the best cost effective method, and 290X CF is a bit better if you have some extra cash

anymore would be OP tbh

What about the slower 500 mb of memory. Would a 980 be better?

I probably would just stick with a single GTX 980 if your budget is $500 and you already have a G-Sync monitor (i'm stuck in Team Green's camp for a while since I have a ROG Swift)

What gpu are you using? And what kind of performance are you getting?

970 SLI is still a bit better, the problems are more at 4K tbh

I'd go with a 980. Then if you want more performance, add in a second one. I went with two 780 Tis for my rog swift.

Im wondering if a dual 970 setup or a single 980 is better.

Been looking through some details and dual 970 seems a lot better but I have been reading that some games have issues with SLI, and I wonder if this is still the case or just in some cases and if they do have issues what might they be?

Here's a good benchmark of GTX 970 SLI vs GTX 980 SLI. 970 SLI seems to do really well except on the terrible AC Unity.

G-Sync is proprietor hardware

Either ditch Nvidia or just get a regular monitor for half the price.

G-Sync is cancer as far as I am concerned I mean AMD has FREEsync not PAY FOR A £200 UNITsync :)

Right now I just have internal graphics since I sold my SLi 780s but I found a barely used Titan X for $800 so I think i'll have more than enough horsepower for 1440p 144Hz gaming when June 4th rolls around :)

I run mine with a single GTX 980 without issue. I don't hit 144hz, but I'm averaging 75fps in GTA V most of the time
