Oh, and that i3 is fine, the r7 260x is not so good.  I won't say what will bottleneck what as it depends on the application.  That GPU will limit your gaming experience in a hell of a lot of newer (and older) gaming titles.

No bottlenecks, you're spending a bit on the motherboard but if it's for ascetics I understand,

Good build. Just watch out for people saying "spend a little bit more". My first build was $800, then I ended up paying $1200.

It will run the i5 4440 wonderfully, and supports a single video card wonderfully as well.  The downside is that you only get two DIMM slots (for RAM).  That is why I picked a single 8GB stick, to allow for upgrade room.

Will the i3 hold up well.  I have done some research and it doesn't look like such a huge difference.  I dont know if it is worth the 100 extra dollars.  I cant really go much higher than $900

You can have an i5 and stay under $900 easily.  Most games won't need more than 1 core...BUT if you find you want to play a particular game that ultilizes multiple cores (2 or more), then having that quad is nice to have.

 

@ I can further cut that cost lower that $884.  You can drop the SSD completely, and just go with a 1TB HDD, that saves $50 right there.  You can drop to a Thermaltake Versa Case and save $15... you lose the window, but the case is solid.  The Deepcool Tesseract is selling for $25, awesome budget case.  You can drop the DVD writer too if you want, you don't really need it.  Windows can be installed with just a USB stick.

Hey,  when i buy the Windows 8.1 license, will i still be able to upgrade to Windows 10?  Should i wait to build the PC until after windows 10 is released?  Thanks.

Win10 is a free upgrade from 7 or 8.  You are safe to buy it.

Hey,  I was thinking about using 2 128GB ssd's.  I dont think i need a a hard drive.  I really dont want to hassle with one because of their shorter life span of one.  On my current computer i am only using about 100GB of storage, so i think 256 gb is enough.  Should i do 2 128 ssd, 1 256 ssd, or a 128 ssd with 1 tb hdd?  Thanks.  I hope this makes sense.
