Will a pci-e wireless net card slow down a gpu?

Hi im collecting parts for my pc and am not sure, would a pci-e wireless network card slow down or take channels from a gpu?
I would prefer ethernet but my housemates wouldn't like a 20m cord running through the house.

 

Also does anyone have any recommendations of any decent, cheap and RELIABLE wifi cards?

 

I have a Gigabyte z97x-gaming 5 mobo, msi gtx 970 and a i7 4790k(16 channels)

It'll be perfectly fine. PCIe 3.0 X8 won't bottleneck any single GPU any time soon.

 

Take a look at the Asus PCE-N53, I have two of them and have zero complaints, so I can definitely recommend.

No. PCIe 2.0 x1 and x4 slots(provided PCIe 3.0 is there as well) go through the PCH("southbridge") and do not affect cards running on the onboard PCIe 3.0 controller located on the CPU die.
