Too much. I think I've spent about 5k on just the box. probably close to another grand on peripherals. And I think The TV I've got as a monitor cost about 2 grand 5 years ago. Yes I should go triple surround, but I'm happy with my old sony for now.

In two month I will invest on a new computer so the qt would be... 4800€ (Including a new router) Because my laptop (Windows, not the macbook) and actual monitor will be given to my mother or brother.

Pretty close to 2K. Spent a lot of money when I wanted to go from ATX to mATX. Lets just say I have bought quite a few SSD's. CPU coolers, and a ton of dust filters.

It is really kind of hard to say, since my current system which is using an AMD processor w/8GB RAM and a 2GB NVidia gfx card started as and evolved/mutated from an i486 with a Hercules gfx card and 512k RAM into what it is today. I never really built a new system since then, just upgraded so much that everything in the case (and the case itself) has been "upgraded" a number of times. I have gone through 3 cases, about 8 drive configurations, 6 mobo/cpu swaps, ,,,

 

well, you get the idea.
