Hunting for a Laptop

Hi, I live in Southern California (USA). I'm looking for a laptop for anywhere up to and around $1000

Looks are pretty important for me in this case,as I plan on using it for business and would like to have an attractive computer. I will be doing some light video editing, gaming, and streaming (likely no more than 1080p)

In the end, I probably at most need to be able to play some games on low/medium settings, have a good wifi connection, stream video, and load websites quickly. The budget isn't all too important, just as long as it isn't much more than $1000, and no more than $1100.

Once again, Southern California, moderately powerful notebook/laptop/ultrabook (I don't understand the differences between them, sorry) within a reasonable budget. I would prefer it new, but would be willing to buy a used/refurbished if it's well certified.

Thanks for help!

At $1000 you're gonna have to stream at less than 1080p.

Oh well literally anything will do that.

Honestly I wouldn't. I have a Y40, it comes with tons of bloat, there customer service is the worst, and the fans in my unit failed after 6 months.

Can't go wrong with a ThinkPad if you're looking to be businesslike and have something durable. T440P with a 730m and 8GB of ram is right about 1 grand.

I really like the specs I'm seeing, but damn that's a blocky laptop. Though with what's in it, I think that may be the best choice I've seen yet.

This will be awesome ... It looks good !! ( although .. I'd recommended turning off the red backlight when you are in a business meeting ... Lol.. The backlight is just funky and ... You know what I mean .. )

Pics ! .. :- b859d2ef-ada3-4343-b2f3-47dde4d21c90._V3

As you can see.. The back of the laptop is plain black brushed metal.... It has a " business " look :)
