Do you have a specific model in mind?

"Reference" 970s can only be bought here: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-205-OK

980s should be easy enough to find, though.

The GTX700 series have been discontinued, so stock is quite limited

Specs: CPU: AMD FX 6300 Motherboard: Gigabyte 970A DS3P RAM: HyperX Fury 16GB 1866MHz GPU: MSI R9 270 OC edition Case: Sharkoon VS3-S SSD: Samsung 840 EVO 120GB HDD: 1TB Caviar Blue PSU: Corsair CX500W

Depends on the model of card.

Best buy, Newegg, Amazon, etc... all those typically have them. (They might not have reference models for all nvidia cards, but they typically have some of them)

Specs: CPU - Intel i7 8700K @ 5GHz | GPU - Gigabyte GTX 970 G1 Gaming | Motherboard - ASUS Strix Z370-G WIFI AC | RAM - XPG Gammix DDR4-3000MHz 32GB (2x16GB) | Main Drive - Samsung 850 Evo 500GB M.2 | Other Drives - 7TB/3 Drives | CPU Cooler - Corsair H100i Pro | Case - Fractal Design Define C Mini TG | Power Supply - EVGA G3 850W

Rare cards since reference cards are the best at SLI due to the Blower fan and the fact Waterblocks are cheap since reference PCB is easier to manufacture waterblock fittings hence why they are usual sold out within a year if not less. IF you can find one good luck :)

I saw that after I posted, I'd really only looked at that product page when it was the only place in the world to get them, but that's now changed

Specs: CPU: AMD FX 6300 Motherboard: Gigabyte 970A DS3P RAM: HyperX Fury 16GB 1866MHz GPU: MSI R9 270 OC edition Case: Sharkoon VS3-S SSD: Samsung 840 EVO 120GB HDD: 1TB Caviar Blue PSU: Corsair CX500W

So basically proves my point :P Blower fans! xD

It's cheaper getting a reference card and OCing it to that clock speed.

Anyone who bought this needs a slap unless they are obsessed with aesthetics. :D

Not entirely. These are better than the reference because they pull air from air on both sides and the silicon is meant for that clock speed so there will be no instability problems

Dam forgot about that part! But yeah Blowers are really good for compact SLI/CF builds, how much does this card cost compared to reference?

Not sure but probably less because the cheapest that you can get a reference card is at best buy for $380

I think the price is around $350 for the one that I linked

But then I need a new PSU I have a GS 750 from Corsair, I will wait to see how AMD stacks up and if it can clear TiX's performance by a nice margin I will by getting a good ol' R9 390X and maybe another down the line. If AMD clear TiX's performance and beat the 980ti then Nvidia have lost this year in performance since the can't release anything more powerful other than a Dual GPU card or a 950ti/960ti which would be pointless right now :)
