980 ti Specs, Performance, and Pictures Leaked (Updated)

Just a few hours ago, Nvidia's rumored 980ti has been essentially confirmed and is purportedly releasing before Computex, possibly at the same conference for their Shield TV console.

3DMark benchmarks and the 980ti's full specs have been confirmed. The cards are also supposedly in reviewers hands already but are under an NDA probably until Nvidia holds their conference on its launch. The conference is supposedly on May 28th so we won't have to wait to long to find out if that is when it is launching. Reviewers are supposedly posting their reviews next week so it would make sense to launch it during their scheduled conference. Then show it off at computex for extra marketing.

Here are the leaked benchmarks for the 980ti stock, overclocked, and SLI

Here are the supposed specs for the 980ti:

Everything but the Price point, TDP, and Boost clock have been confirmed. I am excited to see if they will price this similarly to the 780ti as that was around $700 at launch. I'm even more excited to see what AMD has to offer with its 390x and how its performance and price will be at in order to compete with the 980ti. I especially want to see the performance gains that HBM can provide for AMD

Update: Videocardz just posted photos of the 980ti front, back.

It's probably a rumor, but I'm 99% sure Jay teased it on Tech Talk, like we talked about.

Isn't this what we were all expecting? Why are you surprised? A card that fits inbetween the 980 and Titan X.

It seems like a huge performance gain over the 980 though. Wasn't expecting it to be that close to the titan x

So a gtx 970 is getting beaten by an overclocked 290 (hawaii pro) and 290x (hawaii xt)? I smell BS.

The article even says the 970 is heavily overclocked. 1200/1800 is not even a clock worth mentioning for the 970. ThaT thing can run at 1500+/1900 easily

It's based on the Titan X's chip apparently, so it only makes sense to be super close to it.

They are mentioning baseclocks, not actual in-game gpu boost clocks. And the 290x does beat the 970 in firestrike I believe.

Ah ok, my bad. Even so I don't think the small bump in clock speed and memory speed will be enough to outperform gm204 car. I bet the oc headroom is not going to be a lot

looked at that scene, its a new card since there is just a NVIDIA Logo where normally the name would be, I never thought that this card will come

CPU: Xeon 1230v3 - GPU: GTX 770  - SSD: 120GB 840 Evo - HDD: WD Blue 1TB - RAM: Ballistix 8GB - Case: CM N400 - PSU: CX 600M - Cooling: Cooler Master 212 Evo

My bad, was really excited lol. I will change post to reflect that, as nothing is truly confirmed until Nvidia announces it

Firestrike doesn't mean much.

Both the TitanX and 980Ti scores are incredibly low for SLI.  Just perusing the 3dmark database shows that 980 SLI builds are absolutely decimating the scores they have there.  Their AMD scores are also really low.  That 980 OC is laughable as well.  1250 base clock is less than my EVGA SC's base clock out of the factory.

Time to wait for an official confirmation and real world benchmarks rather than this poppycock.

I didn't expected it to be performing THIS close to the Titan X

I doubt it will be a 900 series card as Nvidia never skips a series especially with AMD having strong GPU's coming up.
The specs seems real though it would be GM200 with 2 SMX units disabled.
If they actually skip a series Pascal has to be way closer than we originally thought.

Part of me is hoping this leak is fake due to the fact that AMD is only on par with a stock 980 and just beats out a heavily overclocked 970. But the other part of me is excited at the performance numbers for the 980 ti. I'm so conflicted right now, Nvidia y u do dis?

In Firestrike usually the 290x outperforms or performs very close to the 970.

I didn't expected it to be performing THIS close to the Titan X

Well, unless they cut 500 cuda cores off the chip it was going to perform neck and neck with it.

Those are only the speculated 380/380x cards though.  Fiji is the new flagship, and I don't think we have any benchmarks for those yet?

The only leaked benchmarks of Fiji I ever saw was month's ago, or last year. It was definitely before the titanX launch.

edit** found it. Unlikely to be accurate, but its possible. The black bar is Wattage while playing battlefield 4, which is very interesting. the (es) means Engineering Sample for those that don't know.
