Advice for a first-time CPU fan replacement?

Abzzzz

So I noticed that I'm idling at 50C on all 4 cores of my CPU, so I decided to get a Noctua CPU fan, and as this is my first time ever taking thermal paste of my brand new CPU and mounting a fan (thankfully the case gives me access to the underside of the mobo) I was wondering if I could get some advice on... well, how exactly to go about this.

The fan should intake air from the front of the case and push to the back.

Just because you don't care, doesn't mean other others don't. Don't be a self-centered asshole. -Thank You a PSA from the people who do not say random shit on the internet.

The paste part or air cooler install? Paste is super easy, just a pea size of paste and install the cooler, it will spread when you put the cooler on. The air cooler on the other hand you might want to try youtube.

I'm more worried about getting the paste off. I've never messed with that before, and all I have is a removal kit I got from Amazon so I'm afraid I'm going to screw my CPU somehow because that's my luck lol

99% isopropyl alcohol and a cloth will get it off, just like removing nail polish. Wait removal kit? Please link.

Personally I use a piece paper from a kitchen roll or that thick soft toilet paper and do that dry, no alcohol.

I never noticed any temperature difference between doing it that way and jumping through all the hoops like some people tend to do.

It's really just my paranoia. I dropped a ton of money on this rig so I want to be extra cautious with how I manage stuff like this.

The most important part is that you hold the chip by edges, don't drop it and be careful not to scratch either surface.
