I know that Linus hasn't covered this topic so are there any good videos or sites that deal with this? I would love to see Linus cover this

I already suggested it to him

but he said it was a very specific user who would watch this kinda video

 

and nvidia and amd are stingy with borrowing out this cards

Totally depends on your use cases.. Look at what you'll be doing and then either find a benchmark in that application or go to some forums that deal with it.

I don'T PreSS caPs.. I juST Hit THe keYboARd so HarD iT CriTs :P

Professional grade cards aren't the same as consumer. You don't measure the difference in games. Just as dzzope said, each is better for different things.

Depends. If you want strong CUDA support and 10-bit colour output for example for your workload then you would need a Quadro.

And if you want excelent OpenCL support then the Firepro is for you.
