New Monitor

Cs342

Hi guys,

I'm going to be getting a new monitor to replace my 1680x1050 monitor tomorrow and my budget is around $200. I have a few questions:

1. Is it worth getting a 1440p monitor? Will 1080p content look bad?

2. Will my 7970 be able to run games on high settings at 1440p or should I get a 1080p monitor?

3. Is resolution the main factor when it comes to image quality, or are there other factors?

Please suggest some monitors I should get for $200. Thanks!

Have you tried turning it off and on again?

for $200 you are looking at 1080p anyway, so I would just get a nice IPS 1080p 60hz monitor

Depends how big the monitor you wish to buy is. AOC do brilliant IPS panels. I have the 27" one which I payed around £200 for

If you want my attention, quote my post or I will not see it. I ignore builds that do not use PCPartPicker.

Forgot to mention it's "borderless" (0.8 cm border on the sides and top) so it will be great for future multi-screen setup.

I recomend you save up another 200$ and buy the LG 29um67.

Better to save up and get something GOOD, instead of getting something crappy again to just keep dreaming that one day you`ll have a GOOD monitor.

I thought there are some good IPS monitors for $200

Have you tried turning it off and on again?
