Need Help For Good Headset

Arixl

I am looking for a good gaming headset, there are alot of topics on headphones but not headsets. I'm looking for a headset that has a decent mic, (as alot of them has poorly made ones for the price) price isn't that big of a factor. At the moment i'm using the V Moda with the boom mic, but it's broken on me and i lost my receipt, also they hurt my ears as i have quite pointy ears. So what I'm looking for is a nice headset with a decent mic and i NEED them to be comfy for my pointy ears. Build quality is a big factor as headset always seem to just fall apart on me (even my v moda), so strong build, good mic, comfortable for my pointy ears, sound isn't that big of a deal but would be nice.

Would the boom mic from my V moda fit the Hyper x cloud?

It might be something outside my realm as I'm not very educated on headsets, but I have had my Logitec G930 for almost 10 months now and have 0 complaints with it, it did cost a bit more at about $160CAD but I am comfortable wearing it for 3-4 hours at a time and the build/sound quality seems pretty good.

I have read about some people having problems with the sound cutting out but I have not experienced this yet so maybe it's a minority of issues.

1. Follow yer topic

2. There are no decent headsets out there unless you get expensive (MMX300s), I would recommend getting HD 558 and an AT2020. This is the most commonly suggested one so yeah. I have them and they work fine just remember, if you do buy the AT2020 get the USB version and not the XLR as the XLR version requires an Phantom power Amp which, at cheapest, go for $60 USD.

CPU: Intel i7-4790K @ 4.7GHz --- RAM: Lenovo 1600MHz 16GB --- MOBO: Gigabyte Z97-G7 --- GPU: EVGA GTX 970 FTW ACX 2.0+--- PSU: Corsair CX600 --- Case: Corsair Air 540 --- Cooler: NZXT Kraken X61 --- OS: Windows 8.1 --- Monitor: 24" AOC G2460P + Dell 19" --- Mouse: Logitech MX Perfromance --- Keyboard: Corsair K70 (Cherry MX Brown) --- Audio: Sennheiser HD558

Don't buy a GTX 980, it's overpriced! Buy 2 GTX 970s or 2 R9 290s intstead (the R9 290s would even be cheaper)

How much are you really looking to spend.

I have a set of Sennheiser G4ME Zeros that are really really REALLY good. The mic is good, not great. Doesn't have any static which is a huge thing for me. The sound quality is where it really shines.

Unfortunately they run about $250-300 USD last I checked so they are definitely on the high end. Easily the most comfortable headset I've used. Usually end up wearing them basically all day every day.

This for sure. But try them on if you can, to make sure they fit your pointy ears!

The cheaper the better because headsets break if you like to do recreational drugs or hit the bottle.

Well i wouldn't call the V modas cheap by any means, they're meant to be "unbreakable" and i'm not rough with my headsets i'v never thrown them or hit them, they just fell apart.

I have a few friends with that headset, they said it would be perfect but the Mic cuts out ALOT i'v been in skype calls with them and it cuts out every few minutes for them.

i looked into those, them seem pretty good aside from the mic being eeh, they look nice, Are they tight on the head and do you know if they have removable or different ear cups for my pointy ears! Or if they would fit someone with pointy ears, they seemed a little bit small in some videos i watched, or maybe their hands were just big O.o

These cans work well. Not big but sound is excellent and mic works well. How cheap? Sofa King Cheap you won't want your $15 back. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826193037&cm_re=rosewill_headphones-_-26-193-037-_-Product

The HyperX Cloud mic seems pretty good when compared to most sub-$100 headsets. I'll give it a recommendation seeing as it's mad comfy and the mic is removable. Sound quality ain't bad either. Seems like a pretty flat EQ so you have freedom to tweak with your sound card and get the EQ to where you want it.

Git Gud.

You said 'broke' but if your mic is still good you can pickup the Philips SHP9500 and reuse your mic.
