Logitech G29 Racing Wheel Leaked! Sim Racers rejoice!

XTankSlayerX

Looks more like what a new DFGT would be . Edit: I prefer the clean look of the g27 more than this "in your face" design. Thinking of picking up a g27 whenever I have the money for it.

I just want it below cheap, like under 100 bucks cheap. I'm desperate to replace this piece of fucking shit they call a steering wheel.

I´d love to get the g27 for under 100, I think wheels under 100 are kinda crap but if this one drops in price imma pick it up like ur moma

Longboarders/ skaters message me!

Yeah, i think the G27 should work well for me, but he problem is lack of customization. With the T300RS, you can change steering wheels, pedals, even the shifter. The G27, it's totally aftermarket, so you don't know if it will work 100 percent. And plus, the G27 just seems...cheap. The T300 looks like it's been made with quality materials.

The G27 wheel is considered as the most bullet proof consumer grade FFB wheel available today, and regarded as the best wheel to purchase if you want 900° rotation, clutch, and shifter for a sub £300 price point. At the moment it is £177 on amazon uk, or it was last night when I was looking at random stuff on there.

I own the G27 myself, and before that I had a Thrustmaster TX wheel. The TX broke within 6 months of use on FOrza 5 and a fair few pc racing games. After 6 months, my G27 is still going strong without a single issue. The FFB felt better on the TX though, but that is because it is belt driven. The G27 runs on gears. It isnt overly noisy though. The pedals on the G27 are also really good, and each pedal is its own self contained unit; to which the frame is made from metal. This is why you see people taking the plastic case off, and then reverse mounting them on custom cockpits.

Also, if you where to buy say a set of Fanatec clubsport pedals with load cell brake; they work in stand alone USB mode. Means they can be used with any racing wheel on the market. The same goes for the Thrustmaster TH8A shifter, which also has a stand alone USB mode. As long as the game you are playing can use 2 or more USB inputs at one time, you are pretty much set.

I actually like the look of it. It looks to have decent quality and I like that dial feature - could be very useful for adjusting downforce or brake bias on the fly. Also like having all those other menu navigation controls on the wheel as well.

But, I need to see the shifter and pedal set before I'd buy it. Only just bought a G27 back in December on sale, so I'll be sticking with it for a long time yet.

Looks great so far. Logitech makes good stuff and hopefully this will be a really good wheel. :)

I'd be interested in the FFB motor specs if possible. I currently have a T500 which is heavily modified and with a custom rim attached. But Logitech always rocks the price/performance ratio so even though I won't be buying, I'm really looking forward to this. The more the simracers the better for the community!

I should start a LTT SimRacing club thread one day... Better add my gear to my sig too. :)

Yeah, the FFB is gotta be at least decent for me to consider it for "playing around". I've got Fanatec stuff right now, but I am pressuring the wife for a fully kitted out SimXperience Stage V (she's said no about 6 times already).

Well i think its more likely some kind of a dfgt replacement as others said.
It looks horrbile if you ask me...

I'll probably stick with my G27 until it breaks (which isn't too far considering mine has a ton of wear and tear after 6 months)...

Oh really? I still own my very first controller; a G25 which is like 6-7years old, works perfectly fine and stable to this very moment. (and not like i didn't beat the shit out of it during the years)
Never had any issue using it , other than the pedal potentiometers got itchy after a while, but usually a clean fixed it.
I guess you're doing something wrong if you "used up" a G27 in half a year (considering a 27 should be even stronger than a 25 i guess)

I barely use it, but when I do I'm extremely careful since I paid $200 for it lol. After about 6 months, the paint on the pedals have worn off, the pedals squeak, and the wheel itself squeals sometimes when turning it. It'll likely "work" until a bit after the warranty, but it's in extremely bad condition considering how much I use it. Maybe the G27 has cheaper components than the G25, thus the lower durability. I hope the G29 won't be Driving Force GT like, because I'm not going to use a wheel that was made for PS4 on a PC.

Ive had a G27 since November of last year, bought brand new. and I do a lot of drifting with it in Assetto Corsa. Plus I do a lot of racing in a fair few other racing games also. I dont have any of these issues you mention at all, and my wheel is used at least 4 to 5 times a week most weeks; and for a few hours at a time. Could you possible post a few pictures up of your wheel as it currently it?

Also, I would highly suggest you contact Logitech and get them to look into the issues.

I'd suggest that too.

That wheel should not even remotely have those issues in 6months , considering that you dont use it very often.

Does this mean G27 price crash? Hehe

I don't think so as G25s are still going for quite a bit.

Wow, Playstation only? I'm fucking pissed. The whole steering wheel lineup by Logitech has been cross platform. What makes them think they can do this NOW?
