Free web hosting?

Ratchet Miles

What's a good service that provides free web hosting? I currently use 000webhost.com, but I don't like the domain they give you. I want to create a hobby site that lets me do the HTML, CSS, and JavaScript myself and lets me have multiple pages, but I also want decent storage and a good domain name that looks fine with a subdomain.

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

#1. Treat others as you would like to be treated.

#2. It's best to keep your mouth shut; and appear to be stupid, rather than open it and remove all doubt.

#3. There is nothing "wrong" with being wrong. Learning from a mistake can be more valuable than not making one in the first place.

I mean.. shameless plug for a company I do some work for, but we provide free hosting.

http://x10hosting.com/

We also do premium and VPS hosting.

Use x10Hosting.

They give you a "DomanName.x10.bz/.mx/etc"

but you can workaround that w/ Freenom and point the nameservers to your server.

That's pretty much what I was looking for. Thank you. Seems far more professional than 000webhost.

I'll go ahead and accept that complement. ;)

Feel free to give me a shout if you have any questions--I'm only part time volunteering there but I know the infrastructure and w/e.

I just want to know what the limit for like, files is. How much storage do I get?

Is there like, a meter to my limit?

Inode usage will show up in cPanel (you'll have to switch to the x3 theme, not our custom basic one)

It'll look a bit different, and the numbers will be different (as this is my account on one of our other servers), but:

I know how bad that 000webhost is, they don't even have an option to get rid of your account... Well, then I switched to hostinger.com, it's super good!

There's always a way...

Heroku has a free version which works well enough. https://www.heroku.com/

If you have a valid student email (not necessarily still a student) then you can apply for Github's student pack and get a $100 Digital Ocean credit. https://education.github.com/pack https://www.digitalocean.com/

Heroku basically dropped their free tier for all intents and purposes..

I'm a little noobish to webhosting, but I am learning to do some basic coding and want a site to be able to practice on. I also have Google adsense that I have played with in the past and want to start learning how to utilize it again... are they friendly to adsense or no?

We're not adsense un-friendly? I'm not sure what adsense friendly implies.

Really? lol

Does the site (hosting service) allow the use of Adsense?
