Witcher 3, good ways to level up?

SirRadget

Anyone know of some good ways to level up in the Witcher 3 for Pc?

I'm only level 4, but I would like to know just in case there are some.

Farming spots, some good quests.

Also maybe some quests/spots that can give you good materials/weapons/armor.

It's an RPG, there's more than enough quests to constantly level up. Besides that I haven't found anything myself. I don't think killing wolves and drowners would do much. And for armor and items and such swim down the rivers with your witchers sense, there's chests all across the bottom.

I've found quests to be the only really reliable way to level up quickly. Monsters don't seem to give a lot of experience compared to just doing quests. I found that initially there weren't a ton of quests when I first started playing (around levels 1-3) but I'm level 11 right now and I have so many quests that I can't complete them all and still do quests that are for my level (since so many are below my level now).

I don't know but from my experience so far I don't really give a damn about my level in this game as it still keeps me constantly busy with a lot of interesting content.

I did a lot of ? on the map and played cards and horse riding competition. I am under 20h of gameplay and level 7.

SIDE QUEST . The game.

The game is actively telling you NOT to farm by giving you bad exp from slaying monsters , its helping people and doing things for people that give major EXP

So side quests as someone already said.

I watched some video this morning and guy mentioned some abandoned towns, there are usually some mobs and if you kill them you can loot some nice things. And I hope they also give more XP then just wolves.

Also there are some things like obelisks or like stone with glowing symbol of your magic signs, and if you kill the monster there you can use the obelisk and it can upgrade your spell or something like that, I'll try it when I got back from work. (I saw place like this at the beginning of the game, there was a ghost lv7, I was lv1 so you can imagine how the fight ended :D, I think I'm at lv 4-5 so I could kill it now).

EDIT: I've just found this article

While there will be some quests and monsters that you may find too difficult at your current level, never be disheartened. Going out into the woods and killing the same pack of wolves day after day will net you a pitiful amount of experience, so you're better off just finding and completing quests that are sitting at or around your level.

Yeah I'm gonna need to mod the weight limit on the game. I don't really enjoy fast travel but I dislike being overburden the most.

Don't bother with the high dificulties, the enemies become huge sponges and sidequests give absolutely fuck-all XP. You're better off killing stray dogs or doing main missions and returning to side quests.
