Help me find a good gaming mouse

Hello everyone,

I am looking for a mouse for light FPS gaming. I have been using this Microsoft mouse (http://www.amazon.com/Microsoft-Optical-Mouse-200-Black/dp/B003FOWIXK/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1432010214&sr=1-1&keywords=microsoft+optical+mouse+200) for about 6 months now but the left click does not work properly anymore. Now I'm looking to buy a mouse that'll last for a longer time, and fits more comfortably for a palm grip style of use. I think I would like some extra buttons, but that's not a necessity. I want to get a wired mouse, not a wireless one. I also used this generic HP mouse (http://www.amazon.com/HP-Button-Optical-KY619AA-ABA/dp/B0029L0IM8/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1432010235&sr=1-1&keywords=hp+mouse) and found it comfortable for my use rather than the quite small Microsoft mouse.

My budget is $30 to $40 for this, but I don't want to skimp on build quality and longevity. Comfort for a palm grip style is most important to me. I have never used any of the extra features like DPI switching or using more than the usual 3 buttons on a mouse so I don't think that would really be a deal-breaker if it wasn't present.

I hope you guys can help me choose a mouse, as I don't really know much about the performance metrics and looking online has been quite confusing for me.

Alright, my only concern with this is whether it will suit a palm grip. It looks a bit on the smaller side. Would the Logitech G100s or something of that sort be good too?

it's 4.6inches long and 2.5inches wide if that's helps, I can find a bigger mouse if wanted

The logitech g100s is the same size :). The Razer may be a bit more accurate in FPS gaming and respond a bit better

For FPS, I would recommend the Razer Deathadder, I know it's $60 but it goes on sale often. It's quite a big mouse so you might palm grip it. Nothing wrong with palm grip I usually prefer claw grip for more quick movement.

@DarkBlade2117 Alright then, I guess I'll look into that. I just want the mouse to not break after just a few months of use. Thanks for the suggestion!

@cheeze_tartz the $60 price point opens up a lot more options, of course.

Yeah a Razer Deathadder or the other one I posted will last. I've had my Razer Naga Hex for 7 months and feels brand news till.
