HP ENVY 700-214 Intel Core i5-4440 X4 3.1GHz 12GB 2TB DVD+/-RW Win8.1 $485.30 a good deal

So would it be more worth while getting this maybe upgrading the PSU and adding a gtx 960. Or building a ~$700 pc?

honestly it's not bad. 12gb of RAM is a weird choice, as you usually want the same configuration on each channel, but the specs sound pretty good. definitely replace the PSU if you get a 960, 500W legit PSU minimum. after a PSU and GPU, I'd upgrade to an SSD next, but it's pretty decent for the price when you take into account the inclusion of an OS.

You're talking an extra $250 on top of the $485 the computer is. Just build it yourself and do some meaningful tweaks, you will run into less problems down the road.

You can, but in my mind that's just as good as pirating.

They aren't authorized by Microsoft to sell keys and it's likely that (like G2A), they're selling keys they aren't supposed to be sold, such as MSDN keys.

Build your own PC. The last thing you want is an HP motherboard for gaming or just in general anywhere near your computer. You can build a pretty sweet rig for $700 and avoid all stupid that comes with the HP badge.

Wait though I can upgrade to windows 10 later. Also I've never had to reinstall my OS.

Good luck upgrading if the key has been marked pirated.

There are many instances where some people want to re install OS's. For my case i did a fresh install on a new ssd i bought. I tried using the key from G2a and it no longer worked. I confirmed with microsoft support that it was indeed pirated and belonged to a business company. So g2a merchants are pretty shady reselling the same keys to other people.

building one would be better in the long run, with the warranty for each part. I did upgrade my computer from a HP replacing the PSU/GPU/CASE it's does alright for now. But if I could go back before I bought a prebuilt, I would build it myself.

I had a genuine key on my laptop and ended up having to hard wipe everything. The key I had never worked again. No way in hell I was going to buy another freakin' key from MS.
