Unofficial H236HL (And Other Acer Monitors) "VESA" mounting guide

In order to mount your H236HL or other Acer monitor to a custom monitor pole you will need:

1.) The monitors

2.) A long screwdriver

3.) Your DIY square mounting bars for the monitors

These instructions sprouted from the video here and go into further detail in how to get the pieces of metal that attach to the monitor out of the plastic body.

STEP 1:

Have all of the stems that go between the base and the monitor handy. Also have a Philips head screwdriver with a reasonably thin and long stem.

STEP 2:

Insert the philips head sccrewdriver into the holes in the bottom of the plastic piece. You should see two holes and within those holes are screws. Once they are unscrewed take the metal piece and pull it towards you with the front side facing towards you.

STEP 3:

Take the pieces of metal and attach it to you monitors.

STEP 4:

Have someone hold them in their final destination.

STEP 5:

Mark down the holes in the bottom of the piece of metal on to the square pole that is your stand.

STEP 6:

Drill pilot holes and then use sheet metal screws (or long screws going all the way through the square metal) to attach the monitor piece to you stand.

STEP 7:

DONE

I will be updating this with pictures and with further detail once I get all of the materials needed.

DISCLAIMER: I do not take responsibility if you break your monitor or hurt yourself during this process.
