Hard VS. Soft Foam?

Guest

Hey guys, I just got a new Noctis 450 case to replace my R4. Should I cut out the hard foam from the Fractal to put in the side panels or buy soft foam? Thanks - Covert.

Selling things is a real hassle for me and I already have enough foam so, should I use my hard foam or buy soft foam?

If your trying to have a silent system usually silent parts are what will help reduce nose, sound dampening usually just prevent echoing or resonance from occurring inside the case.

As for the foam you have what type is it is it an acoustic foam or regular packing foam?

It's the foam from my Fractal Define R4. I have all silent parts except for my GPU so noise should be at a minimum.

I guess you could if you wanted to, it shouldn't be a problem, if you are looking for a soft acoustic foam foamfactory does sell it for pretty good prices:
