Hi everyone,

I need a new video camera (with a $300 buget), It doesn't have to record in ultra high definition, just 720p is enough. I do want a build-in microphone (for now), and a audio input (for upgrading to a professional mic later).

What do you guy think is the best camera for me?

Thank you all!!

A used D5200 or a 60D would be great for your budget.  The D5200 I believe even comes with a stereo mic on it, and both have options for external mics too.  Doesn't come with lens though.

This would be pretty good

under 300 with external mic input is sooooo hard.

DSLR is harder to operate, mirrorless generally has pretty good autofocus and you can go all manual pro mode.

NEED MORE INFORMATION!

-What are you planning to shoot?

-How familiar are you with videography?

-Are there accessories that are critical? IE: Tripod, Lights, ETC

-Are you willing to go used to stretch your money further?

More info the better.
