$200-$500 Receiver suggestions

Anyone have any suggestions for a good home receiver or at least what brand to go with. My current receiver is a Onkyo Tx-sr503 but I'm ready to upgrade to something with Hdmi pass through. Speakers that I am using now are just a set of Klipsch Quintet iii and a Klipsch 12" sub but I would like to have headroom to push better speakers down the road. The brands I have been considering are : Onkyo (although I've heard they have been going downhill ) , Denon , Yamaha, and Marantz.

If anyone has any insight into any of these I would love to hear it. Any help is appreciated.

Denon AVR-X2100W or Yamaha RX-V677 perhaps?

Thanks. I've been leaning towards the Denon x2100w. Coming from Onkyo, I want to give another brand a try , just wanted to get an idea of what was the premium brand to go. Thanks

You're welcome. Of those on your list, Marantz is a semi-premium brand. The rest are mainstream brands, in my opinion.

I suggested the mainstream ones because they deliver greater functionality for the price. High volume products generally deliver lots of bang per buck.
