Recommended is 750W, 800-850W if you want to have a little bit of leeway. :)

850 should be more than enough since he is running an intel cpu, i know that gpu is powerhungry though... but as i said 850 should be more than enough

these people are going overboard with wattage. A nice 650watt will work. I like the evga g2 is really good for the price. 750-850 if you are going to crossfire.

those are 250watt cards i believe, say 300 watt for oc, 2 is 600 watts. Unless ypu get a 150watt cpu, 750-850 watts is plenty. Is hard to go off of brand for psu because they really don't make them. Whats your price limit and location?

yes but, the ax line is much better from them, if you can snag that one even a 850 watt is plenty.

850W-1000W is way overkill.

The i has monitoring through Corsair Link, so basically you can see how many watts your using through software in Windows. IMO not worth the extra money

Don't get an AX860 though, you're spending way more then you need to. For a single GPU get the XFX XTR 550/650W, if you want to add a second 290X in the future, get an EVGA 850G2.

Well now I am confused why would Sapphire make shit up ?

750W is considering that it's some cheap Chinese 750W that can't actually deliver the full rated 750 watts safely.

Like I posted above, actual real-world testing with 290X systems you barely touch 400W of total system power consumption at stock speeds. A good quality 550W will be fine.

Seems like it. I would still be scared running r9 290x on a 550W though. :D

You still have 150W of headroom at stock speeds. If you're really that concerned or want to do OC then get a 650W.
