PC Crashes Whilst Gaming

Specs

Intel i5-3570k @3.8gHz

Corsair H100i Liquid Cooling

Intel HD 4000 Graphics

ASRock z77 Pro3

8GB HyperX Blu @1600mHz

EVGA SuperNOVA NEX 650g GOLD

I am unable to run any game for more than 2 minutes without my entire system freezing. It has only begun recently, and I do not know what is causing it nor do I know how to stop it. I am running on HD 4000 graphics. What could be the issue?

I have not made any changes to my system that would have caused the problem.

I just reset my PC an hour ago, thinking it was a virus.

I get around 56 degrees celsius at 100% load.

I am only playing Minecraft, and I can't afford a GPU.

I know the PC is at least somewhat capable of running games.

The only critical events that are listed are hard shut downs, which I had to do when my PC froze up.

in that case, something might be broken inside your system, cant really say what tho.

something i can suggest is this: try filling up your RAM, my bet would be after a while minecraft reaches a certain point in your RAM thats malfunctioning, freezing the system.

do something RAM intensive, that doesnt load other parts of the system, like opening up 20 tabs in chrome all to various websites.

My system doesn't freeze in a RAM intensive situation.

Try running a memory test to see If the issue is your RAM.

Search up "Windows Memory Diagnostic" is the start menu.

Run it and If you pass the issue isn't your RAM.
