Cheap blu-ray player

Well my mom wants a cheap blu-ray player that will last for a while with the budget around 70-100 usd nothing fancy but it should be easy to use.

My mom has an LG TV and wants everything to be used with one remote for easier use.

is this possible?

For the blu-ray player - basically get the best (most features) player you can for your budget. Any LG or Sony player will be quite good. I assume you're talking about a "Set Top" player by the way - that means a player that plugs into the wall for power, then into the TV, and requires no computer.

As for a single remote, yeah that shouldn't be an issue. If you buy an LG blu-ray player, your TV remote might simply be able to control it already. Otherwise, if the TV remote has programmable "universal remote" functions, you can program it with the remote codes (these are available online, simply search "LG blu-ray player remote codes" for example.

Alternatively for a more robust option, you could get a nice universal remote, such as the Logitech Harmony series. There are different options depending on your budget, but the better ones have colour touch display screens and are seriously kick ass.

Well I can't tell you what features you will find important, because I'm not you :P

But, you should look for WIFI and ethernet support, with support for DLNA streaming, as well as playback of MKV/MP4/AVC/H.264.

If it has support for HEVC and/or h.265, that'd be awesome, but I doubt you'll see that.

3D playback might be of interest to you - if you'll be using it with a 3D TV now or in the future.

Any other features - well, I don't know.

If you narrow your choices down to a few players, you could always post the features and specs of each one - then we can help you compare on a more specific basis.
