AMD VSR and 21:9 support

Has anyone figured out how to get VSR resolutions downsampling to work at 21:9 aspect resolutions? Catalyst currently only has 2560x1440 and 3820x2160 as available resolutions. I have a 21:9 2560x1080 monitor so I can't really use downsampling because the resolutions aren't supported by AMD's VSR. I've tried using CRT to set a custom resolution but they don't take. Anyone have the same issue or figure out a work around?

bump. Just decided to go red team for the first time and this has totally stumped me. I feel like i've been jibbed... shouldve gone with the 970 gtx
