GTAV hogging bandwidth for no reason?

So I've noticed whenever I have GTAV open, my internet gets really slow for no reason, youtube buffers like crazy and loading sites like LTT takes forever. 

 

I ran a speedtest without GTA open, and with GTA open on singleplayer.

 

Anybody know why this is? There's no reason for it to be hogging internets when I'm in singleplayer. Using a internet usage monitor GTAV.exe and GTALauncher.exe aren't using more than a few kilobytes...

Make sure that Steam isn't set to auto-download things while playing. If it's not, then I'd run a virus scan.

It's not and I have with malwarebytes, nothing unusual

If you didn't know, GTA V is a bandwidth hog. It uses a ton of data, and saturates the line.

The projects never end in my line of work.

Oh I knew. But in SP? Why? I get it will show you multiplayer invites and things but it certainly shouldn't take 15 megabits worth

My guess its DRM.

GTAV is incredibly demanding, both graphically and in terms of network. IF you don't use a fast LAN connection, likelier than not, your up and down speeds will really start to slow down.
