Thief(2014)'s Asylum Level creepy & scary as hell

freexavier

I was just playing normally and always looking for secret areas, but until the Asylum... I just creepy as hell. I quickly stopped playing it after less then 2 minutes into the level. I really want to finish the level and the story but dam. It scares me to hell. I don't play horror games, but I think the closes thriller game I played was HF2 and its Episodes. Also I search up online about the creepy Asylum level. There was mention of a dark lady.... I didn't see one yet, but now after knowing about. All the more I am scared to continue. I bought Thief when it was on sale for 80% from Steam a few days ago and started playing 2 days after I bought it. Since my download speed is real slow.

I need to play it at some point. It's one of my many games in my Steam library just wanting to be played, but then cheated on with CSGO or GTA V.

Just play through it m8.

I have played tonnes of horror games, but for some reason. I always get more scared, nervous, and uncomfortable at stealth games like Splinter Cell Blacklist. I don't know why.

Probably because we love the dark but at the same time. There is something there in the dark too.

It was a bit creepy at first, but it quickly lost it's fear factor for me. When you realize that there are no real threats you kind of get over it. The cradle in Thief 3 was a LOT scarier, because there are actual enemies there. There are also a few creepy levels in Thief 1 and 2 that are quite cool, especially the one where you steal the eye for the first time.

"Same rules since the first man picked up the first stick and beat the second man's ass with it."

If you've only played for a few minutes, I can say it gets a lot creepier. Definitely a well orchestrated level to help move your bowels.

I don't know what people are talking about. There are a few enemies in the level that are not alive or dead yet :) but they are obviously coming at you instead of flying across your screen to screeching music! Creepy bastards.

Maybe I will come back try it again soon. When I man up a little bit.
