NOCTUA NF-F12 PWM fans BUZZING (SABERTOOTH 990FX REV.2)

nejc12344

Hey guys :)

My +12V I am getting a reading of 11,994 V :   is that ok ?? (ASUS SUITE II AND IN BIOS) (my CHASSIE fans are buzzing/beeping a lot ).

I use 2x Y splitter for two top and two front chassie fans even if i connect fans separately to motherboard  the fans are still buzzing/beeping-making really weid noise) .

But if i unplugg all chassie fans, except the two  fans on my cpu cooler :NH-U12S the beeping/buzzing stops.....

Which component couse the problem here ??

the fans  are on 600-700 rpm on idle , when its on load its even worse......

even if i connect just one fan to the motherboard the fan is still beeping......

MY RIG :

-Asus sabertooth 990FX/ r2.0

-Corsair RM 750W

-Corsair vengeance 1600Mhz 2x 4GB

-Asus strix gtx 980

-Amd fx 8350 4 Ghz

Tnx for help smile.gif

do you have another system to test the fans? and try directly though the power supply.

I have the intel version of the sabertooth board, and assortment of noctua fans running all though the mobo, and all work flawlessly though the whole RPM range

Do you have the option in your bios to change them from PWM to 3 pin DC? If so try to disable PWM and see if that helps.

Try taking thenm off case, like desk next to PC and running them like that. If the buzzing continues, rma them. If they work alright, the problem is with how they react with case mounts and filters/mesh.

So i take all fans out of the case , if i understand you right and mobo too ?

But its weird. Becouse two noctua fans on cpu cooler works just fine, all fans on the chassie are all buzzing...

Is there some other noctua fans, like p12 pwm or something, some advice please :)

Depends when you bought them. If it was within the last 30 days, contact Amazon as soon as possible so it doesn't go past that time line.

Otherwise Amazon will likely refer you to contact Noctua directly to get help.

Meant just fans and leave case side open while powering the thing. But good if you are RMA'ing them. Buzzing isn't normal operation sound to any fan, least high quality stuff like Noctuas.

Btw, if you want quick replies, quote or tag member to your posts.

My bad missed this reply.

Contact Amazon right now and see if you're still within the returns period, chances are you're right on the limit if you're still within.

Otherwise you'll have to deal with Noctua, they have good customer service either way, so try to get it done asap.
