Costum case build.

Abel225

Hey guys!

So as it stands I need a new case. I can't fit in my current one. As I couldn't fine anything that I like and is in my pricerange I was thinking of building a case. I already found most of the stuff I need. Altough I'm not sure yet how to do the motherboard standoffs. Is there any way to do it home without any specialized tool?

I added a few screenshots of the early designs. Any suggestion would be appriciated!

Thanks a lot!

For standoffs on my wood case (check my NAS link in my sig) I just used some plastic spacers from a local hardware store. Basically polyurethane 1/4 inch spacers, worked great!

Looks like a Corsair Air 540 on it's side to me...

I think you can buy motherboard standoffs separately.

It is kinda similar, but this is like 1/4 the price :D So there is that.

You can use normal screws and a stack of (plastic) washers.
