Painting a Dell Case

FairladyZ

I had this idea a while back, but since I had this weekend off work, I decided to finally do it.

Process

Use 400 grit sandpaper, give metal and plastic a light sand to remove any particles and surface rust

Let the parts sit for a while, at room temperature

I used matte finish black and red (common color scheme with PC parts) to paint the front, sides, and top

I didn't use primer or clear coat

Results

I like the way this looks, the front is red and the rest of the case is black

Pictures:

Sorry for bad resolution, I used the only camera I own that uses SD cards.

Interesting. I think it came out well, especially when you have the 2-tone front done that way. Are you doing anything other than paint it, or was this more of an experiment?
