Flashing Lines On Monitor

I seem to have this problem with my secondary monitor. Sometimes whenever I have just the desktop up on my Viewsonic VA2226w, I get these vertical lines. However, If I pull up Chrome or another app, the lines wont show up anymore. Then closing the window and the lines show up again. Almost if its a software issue. I have updated all drivers, changed DVI cables, and reset the monitor settings. Is it because I have two different monitors? (listed below) I would appreciate any help! Thanks!

Maybe your GPU can't handle 2 monitors at the same time
