Can I mount an EF(-S) lens to a Sony a6000?

After much consideration, I personally would be okay going with a Sony a6000 but I want to have a Canon lens system so that when Canon does an all across the board refresh that I would only have to buy a new APS-C/Crop factor body (which I would hope would be an upgrade of the a6000.)

Though I'm not really sure what I will actually do since it won't be for awhile until I can actually start saving up to start my lens collection and purchase of a body.

However, would I be able to access features that a regular Sony E mount lens naturally has access to if I were to buy some Canon lenses and a mount adapter? Also are there E to EF-S mount adapters that has the contacts or is there only the basic mount adapter?

You don't need ef to ef-s because they work on the same cameras except ef-s doesn't work on ff. You could do ef to e mount, you may experience some issues though.

Okay, I'm still on the fence of whether I want to go with the a6000 or OM-D E-M10 and find something that can satisfy me from the E mount line, or just go with dated Canon (T5i or 70D, though probably 70D)

you would have to modify the mount on the ef-s lens it get it to work as all adapters that i know of use the full frame mount so an ef-s lens will not natively fit. Also the only adapter that will let you keep autofocus and aperature control on normal ef lenses is a metabones adapter and they are not cheap as you can see here. If you want to use ef lenses, you will be much better off going with a canon that natively accepts ef lenses.

If you want to use ef lenses, you will be much better off going with a canon that natively accepts ef lenses unless you are going to be using a high end camera like the sony a7s or gh4 where the cost for the adapter can be justified.

It did, it's just that the better model (T6s) cost about the same as a 70D so really I would suspect that the 70D would be a better option.

Likely yeah it would be better, was just pointing out it was there.

While expensive, you could use this to mount your Canon EF and EF-s glass to your a6000. IIRC, this should also transmit all information to your camera and provide aperture control as well.

Personally IMO it depends what you want to shoot, then I can tell you which you should use, The A6000 should use Canon lens= faster FPS and autofocus is betterbut means more spent on system and may get some issues with canon lens to sony. OMD EM-10= cheap and decent pictures, not as fast autofocus and FPS, smaller sensor so bumping the ISO too high means grain.
