Any recommendations on a projector?

Hi!

I wanted to buy a projector, but searching the internet resulted in a ton of options and only one recommendation - be careful when buying one.

So, I wanted to ask LTT community for some good options, as I'm sure we have some wall projector owners in here =)

My budget is around 900-1000 usd.

I already have a screen.

Projector is supposed to be attached to a mount, sitting upside down, about 3-4m from the wall.

And I want to play games on it, sometimes. 3D - is optional, but an ability to work in a high ambient light environment - is a top priority.

But optoma is not well-represented in my local stores (only Optoma HD141X is here)

Is it going to be enough for a cloudy day, or an early evening operation? Any suggestions on other brands?

Epson, Optoma, BenQ are the main ones normally found

 

doubt you will find many projectors in local stores, where are you based?

Eastern Europe. So amazon, unfortunately - isn't the good option here due to all the taxes and customs headache.

Well, I found a store with the first optoma here, so I'll stick to it, probably.
