Run a benchmark and see what scores you get.  Results from 3D Mark show whether you have 1 or 2 GPUs as well.  It will show "GTX 970 x2" for example and it's free for regular benchmarking.

Just want to make sure you connected the cards with the SLI bridge. What cards did you SLI?

I know something is wrong already since my second card doesn't show up in device manager AND nvidia control panel.

Go to Nvidia control panel, go to 3D settings and SLI and make sure 'maximum performance' is checked.

There aren't any options like that for me. It just says "Configure surround, PhysX".

If Crossfire is anything to go by, you will only see 1 GPU in dual-mode cos the system sees it as one.

Yes I have bridged them, they are both spinning and "glowing" if you may. GTX 970 G1 Geforce.

Silly question, but do you have the SLI bridge connected?  Also what motherboard are you using?  SLI only works on certified motherboards since you NEED x8 x8 PCIE slots for it to be enabled.

Cool, sorry did not mean to sound rude. Nice. I'm going to SLI for the first time tomorrow as well.

http://www.computerhope.com/issues/ch001167.htmHere you go. Should help

How to enable or disable NVIDIA SLI mode

  1. Right-click anywhere on your desktop and select NVIDIA Control Panel from the dropdown list or click .the NVIDIA icon in the Systray.
  2. Once you've opened the NVIDIA Control Panel, click the Set SLI configuration link under the 3D settings menu.
  3. Finally, select either Do not use SLI technology or Enable SLI technology (recommended) to toggle SLI on or off.

I don't see the "Set SLI configuration" option

If you get up to step two in the section above, but don't see an option to configure SLI, it's fairly likely that you have an issue with your dual video card configuration. The following suggestions are to help clear up these issues.

  •     Make sure that your video cards are properly seated and that the SLI bridge is installed correctly.
  •     Sometimes, swapping the slots your cards sit in does the trick.
  •     Verify that Windows Device Manager is showing two identical graphics cards in the Display Adapters section.
  •     Ensure that SLI is enabled in your BIOS settings.
  •     If you have an older motherboard, you may need to configure your jumpers to enable SLI. Consult you motherboard manufacturer's manual for  instructions.
  •     Make sure that you have an adequate Power Supply.
  •     Get the latest drivers for you BIOS and video card.
  •     One of your graphics cards may not be functional. Try installing them one at a time to make sure they both work.

SLI Bridge is checked. I'm using Asus X99-s, SLI compatible. It is x16 x8.

And you weren't rude! Sorry if i made you think that way!

The thing is that I can't find that option in NVidia control center! My pc seems to be unable to "find" the second 970. I can't find it in device manager or anything, this also stops me from finding SLI setting everywhere!

You should see this screen in your Nvidia Control Panel and be able to turn SLI on or off.

Yes the only thing I can see is "Configure surround, PhysX". There are no options for SLI at all for me! Can't even find the second card anywhere, not even in device manager.

Ok have you tried just testing both cards individually to make sure they both run?

Not sure on Asus but my Gigabyte has an option for PCIe lanes.

Uninstall current drivers before you install new card. Install drivers with both cards in at one time
