'Best' is the thing she/he was saying is subjective, as your 'best' might be different to my 'best' as it's a matter of personal preference or opinion.

You yourself would probably be best doing it anyway... Without sounding rude. As you know you want a I7 4790k or i7 5820k and 980, so you can just use your personal preference from then on as the likes of what motherboard you choose won't impact performance as long as it has all the needed features...

 

And because I'm lazy and suck at colour themed builds, but i'm sure someone here will knock one up for you.

That's what "subjective" means. It is dependent on opinion. What someone else might subjectively think is the "sexiest computer ever built" you might think looks like a steaming pile of horse crap. Is this build for you or for someone else? I would recommend you pick out what you think looks good and then see if anyone has suggestions on how possibly make it look better.
