storage format for windows install?

Go to solution Solved by Captain_WD,

hi everyone!!

i have a hard drive configurated with a partition for a linus install ( i mean linux ahhah)

i know that at the beginning of the windows process it doesn't let me format it as an ntfs, do you know a bootable from usb program that could do the work of formatting it as an ntfs ??

and also gimme some direction on what directory i should set :) thanks !!!

Hey berserker,

If you don't have anything important on the drive, you can use a tool to low format (write zeros) the drive and erase anything that might be preventing the Windows installer to properly format it and install the OS. Plugging the drive on an already working system externally (SATA to USB cable, docking station, external enclosure) might also give you some additional options. :)
