(amazon) Sony a7 $1200, $700 OFF!

Tocsin_786

this has to be one of the top interchangeable lense cameras out right now, it excels at low light performance the most. its for 1200 bucks but another option W/ out the lense costs only $700, a solid deal for such a camera.

Space Journal #1: So Apparently i  was dropped on the moon like i'm a mars rover, in a matter of hours i have found the transformers on the dark side of the moon. Turns out its not that dark since dem robots are filled with lights, i waved hi to the Russians on the space station, turns out all those stories about space finding humans instead of the other way around is true(soviet Russia joke). They threw me some Heineken beer and I've been sitting staring at the people of this forum and earth since.

I'd be wary to invest into Sony DSLRs* no matter how deep the discount. Sony is still axing divisions all the time, and their imaging division is pretty much alive due to Nikon using Sony sensors. Yes, they make very good cameras, but they still haven't got a foothold on the market. Nikon and Canon** are too deeply rooted in the mainstream, and Sony are trying to fish in the same stream.

*If you value your firmware updates and future optics ecosystem, that is.

**Even if Canon are lagging behind both Nikon and Sony these days

In case the moderators do not ban me as requested, this is a notice that I have left and am not coming back.

Sony imaging is doing really well lately, the A7 has sold incredibly well, at most photo conventions tons of people are using them, and their lens range is growing all the time

I think sony cameras a safe bet at the moment - sony have just posted a 2.5 bn predicted profit!!!

Great deal but you have to factor in the insane sony E mount lens cost.

Not all E mount lenses are that expensive (eg 28 f2.0) plus you can get adapters for all sorts of other lenses, A mount, canon and nikon mount etc :)

Pentax is like linux. nikon and canon are windows. sony is osx.

pentax doesnt have great lens support but they make the best weather / dust sealed camera in the world and thats what I need.
