how can i make sound play both through speakers and through headphones?

Guest acdcman200

I want to have both my headphones running off of the back of my computers motherboard and my speakers both play at the same time with the same sound. I am trying to configure real-tech to mirror the sound to both my speakers and headphones simultaneously. is there a way i can do this. i need them both to be permanently plugged in. I currently have the headphones set as side pair but im getting any audio throguh them.

here is a screenshot of the audio control panel:

Audio jack splitter is your thing, such as this one. Also great for sharing tunes with your buddies on the train.

Can't you use the front panel of your case? Plug the headphones to the front audio jacks and look for an option to "Disable Front Panel Jack Detection" under the cog or wrench icon on the right of the configuration panel.

i find it too messy, i need to have them pluged in together, that and the jacks on the front of the case dont work. ive never bothered to replace the case front pannel connectors

You could try double-clicking the audio jack icons and see if you can "re-program" the outputs to something different.
