Can you buy ram heatsinks by thereselves

I think I'm gonna email corsair because it would be awesome to fit dominator heat sinks on my ballistix ram PURELY FOR AESTHETICS is there anywhere I can buy aftermarket hsatsinks or should I just email corsair

Purely for aesthetics?  You'd have 90% of people throwing dominator heatsinks on their 5/gb cheap RAM to try and look high end.  It wouldn't be about customization as much as it would be about people trying to make their stuff look better than it is.

Why spend twice the money for something that looks better and performs the same, when you can just make the cheap thing look better for less money?

I can't see corsair selling them to you. the only time I could see that working would be if you anyway had dominators and broke a heat sink.

the heat sink is what you pay for with dominators. So you might as well sell your ram and just buy dominators. It would probably be the same price.

I looked more into this and found for myself that you're right about this.  The dominator line from corsair has "better" heat spreaders and software compatibility with other corair linked products.  In terms of performance there is no real tangible gain from using it other than extreme overclocking, which 99.9999 percent of us do not do.
