[GTA5] "DirectX 11 w/ DX10 settings"

Timmy-P
Go to solution Solved by Comessy,

In DirectX 10, some setting are not possible in GTA. These settings are grass, Tesselation, and Depth of field.

This is probably another display of my stupidity, or just a sanity check on my part.  Here it goes:

Some of you may seen Nvidia's Optimization guide on the various settings of this game, testing the visual gains and performance costs of each setting.  One of their sections was the differences between DX10/10.1/11, take a look:  http://www.geforce.com/whats-new/guides/grand-theft-auto-v-pc-graphics-and-performance-guide#grand-theft-auto-v-directx

They include Settings from one API and running it in another.  What I want to know is what would I configure to mirror their results, since I'm struggling to run this game as is.  In other words, how would I set up my game to get "DirectX 10 settings" in DX11?

I figured some settings would be disabled.  I was going to say I've seen DoF in DX9 games, but I wasn't going to make a better fool of myself.

So if I turn those off I'm golden?  I've been keeping them off anyway.

I've been running my game like that this whole time, actually.

Wow, I'm stupid.
