Difference between 3 socket, 5 socket and 7 socket?

It's

 

'Gaming 3'

'Gaming 5'

'Gaming 7'

 

Socket 1150.

 

The motherboard name models are Gaming <number>. The higher the number the more features the board has.

Hey guys :)

 

So I'm looking at buying a new motherboard using intel's 1150 socket, however I noticed on the MSI boards for example it says 3 socket, 5 socket and 7 socket and I was just wondering what it actually means?

The 3,5, and 7 are the models of the Motherboard's. Not the sockets. 

 

The difference are just board features (USB ports, Sata ports, e.t.c.)

THe post is saying it has the LGA-1150 socket, the 3 5 and 7 aren't referencing the socket.

You know that guy that games on a MacBook? I'm that guy.

In this case its just the way titles work on most sites. Since they don't use commas or other methods to separate naming from main features.
