I need to choose an ereader/general use tablet to get a special someone a present. Which one should I go for? The Amazon Fire HD 6 or the Kindle Paperwhite? The Kindle is better for reading I know but the HD 6 is more versatile. Which one?

Kindle paperwhite is an absolute freaking leader in e-books. Get it and u won't be worried.

I personally own one kindle paperwhite (2013 version).

Thank you for the advice guys. The gift is for my mother, and as it turned out my Dad told me he was already going to get her a Kindle so I bought her a used MacBook instead.
