GAMING MOUSE PAD

I have bought an oem razer goliathus control wich  seem's to be fake.  

It looks like it does a good job on my steelseries rival,so what are the diffrences between this fake mouse pad and an original goliathus or a qck for example ? 

I heard that gaming mouse pads peels very often,so sould i really buy an original pad ? because i dont want just to loose my money on something that will be ruined in a shory while .
